White Tower Restaurant Building Available
must be moved and permanently relocated
History: The White Tower building located at 1002 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo, Ohio is a brick building covered with porcelain enameled steel on the interior and exterior.  Originally a White Spot restaurant, the building was constructed in 1929.  It was purchased by the White Tower System by 1932 and the porcelain enameled panels were added c.1935.  The restaurant has been vacant since closing in 2004.  The building has undergone minimal alterations and maintains its classic 1930s diner appearance.  It is approximately 600 square feet.

Situation:  Due to an expansion project by the neighboring YWCA, the White Tower building needs to be relocated.

Conditions: Submit proposal detailing proposed use, location and setting. In addition to restaurant use, creative adaptive use of this building will be considered. Proposal to be reviewed and approved by parties involved, including the owner (YWCA), City of Toledo, and Ohio Historic Preservation Office in the interest of complying with federal regulations pertaining to this National Register-eligible historic building.

Price: $1 or Best Offer and relocation costs.
